A brief overview of the project.

Mr. Smith will photograph a stranger that he encounters on the street. He will then write a poem inspired by that portrait. The poem will be emailed to the subject, who is instructed to redact the work as he or she sees fit. The redacted portions of the poem are never read or published. The remainder will be compiled with others and published here and in book format; the portrait and the redacted poem it inspired on each page. The book will be read as a performance with the correlating pages projected on stage.
